All students from UKM who start their degree in the double degree program of the ISE program have to take part in a placement test for German language.According to the results of these tests the students will be placed in:
- a two-semester language course, or
- a one-semester language, or
- no language course
for the German language. |

In case you are placed in a two semester course, please notice that it is mandatory to take both language courses and to pass both exams to get the UDE degree!!! |

The students do not need to take part in any German placement test and language course if they
- learned German as a mother tongue
- the German language
- have learnt within the scope of Studienkolleg, or
- have a DSH, or
- have a TestDaF certificate (Test of German as a Foreign Language)
with the level of at least TDN 5 in all areas

The students from UKM do not need to take part in any placement test and language course for English language as the language of instruction in school / university was 100% English. |

To be exempted from the language courses please bring a copy of the certification to the examination office. |
