EACTS - Mobility in Engineering Education across EU and ASEAN

The project aims at the development of an EU-ASEAN Credit Transfer System (EACTS) in the field of engineering education.

EACTS is expected to:

• Enhance student mobility across EU and ASEAN in the field of engineering education
  
  
• Promote and encourage the implementation of Joint Programmes (Double Degrees and Joint Degrees) across EU and ASEAN in engineering education
  
  
• Enhance mutual understanding of educational systems, work and position of engineering graduates in EU and ASEAN
  
  
• Establish an extended network of institutions of higher education institutions in the field of engineering across EU and ASEAN

The development of EACTS is funded by the Asia-Link Programm of the European Commission. The Asia-Link Programme was set up by the European Commission to promote regional and multilateral networking between higher education institutions in EU Member States and developing countries in Asia. The programme aims to promote the creation of new partnerships, to reinforce existing partnerships between European and Asian universities, and to create new sustainable links. The Programme is funded by the EU budget, under the budget line for "Political, economic and cultural cooperation with Asian developing countries".
